Parking Lot/Kiss and Drop at St. LUKE School

School Parking Lot/Kiss and Drop

The parking lot at St. Luke is becoming a growing area of concern, and we appreciate your attention and support in keeping it safe for our students.

Our school parking lot is for staff and school transportation vehicles only during the drop-off/pick-up times. There is a “Kiss and Drop” at the front of the school designated for Kindergarten only.  We have been notified from the bus company that cars are blocking school buses during drop off and pick up times.  Thank you to the drivers who have been understanding when redirected, as we have seen an increase in cars during our busiest times. In the case of parents transporting students with mobility needs, there are accessible parking spots for vehicles with permits at the side of the school. We also share our parking lot with Rising Oaks, and they have dedicated parking spots and permits as well.

It becomes more concerning when parents drop off at the busiest time, especially in the bus loading zone or at the front doors. At times, our buses cannot enter the bus zone due to the number of cars. We will continue to redirect between 8:10-8:30 & 2:40-3:00pm (our busiest time) and encourage families to make use of the drive to 5.

The parking lot at the side of the building is designated staff only.

Thank you for your help as we focus on students arriving safely to school.
