Shrove (Pancake) Tuesday was a wonderful celebration to prepare for Lent. We had 21 volunteers who started at 6:30 a.m. to prepare over one thousand pancakes for our students and staff. The pancakes were delicious and our volunteers’ efforts are very sincerely appreciated. A special thank you goes out to Virginia Young, who took the lead with the big event this year. Thank you to all of our volunteers!

Ash Wednesday marks the first day of Lent, a time of penitence before Easter. Today, all students received ashes during our Ash Wednesday liturgy with Father Aleks. It was great to see so many parents and relatives at our liturgy today. As a reminder, parents and relatives are welcome to attend all of the religious celebrations we plan for our students. All celebrations are included in the calendar on our school website:  https://stluke.wcdsb.ca/calendar/. We hope you will mark your calendars so you can join us for these special celebrations that make our Catholic school a school with a difference.
