Dear St. Luke CES families:

We hope you have had a healthy and restful spring break.

As you are aware, the Ministry announced a return to remote learning effective Monday, April 19, 2021.

On Monday, April 19th, we are planning an adapted school day with asynchronous learning, similar to the Weather Impacted Learning Days we have had this year. Your child’s teacher will post work on Google Classroom or D2L by 9:30 a.m. and students have the day to work independently on the tasks that have been shared. Teachers will spend the afternoon planning for synchronous learning which will start on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, April 20th, we will begin our period of remote synchronous learning, which will be just like it was after Christmas holidays. School bell times (8:20 a.m.-2:50 p.m.) and teachers’ regular schedules will be adhered to. Teachers will be taking attendance in the morning and afternoon. Please continue to follow regular attendance procedures by calling the school office (519-884-4912) if your child will be absent from school for a day (or part of a day).

Thank you for your ongoing support, parents. We know how hard this year has been on our students and their families. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make this latest transition easier for you.

Sincerely,

Kendra Duench, Principal
